Klay Thompson Returns to Court After Two-Year Injury Hiatus
ACL and Achilles Injuries Sidelined Warriors Guard
Return to Action with Santa Cruz
After a two-year absence due to injuries, Klay Thompson has finally made his return to the court. Thompson underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left knee in July 2019, which kept him out for the entire 2019-20 season. In November 2020, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Thompson had suffered a torn Achilles, further delaying his return.
Thompson has been working hard to recover from these setbacks and is now back on the court. He completed a successful rehab assignment with the Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Thompson is expected to make his official return to the Warriors' lineup soon.
Thompson's return is a major boost for the Warriors, who are currently the top team in the Western Conference. With Thompson back in the fold, the Warriors are even more dangerous and will be a major contender for the NBA championship this season.
